Latviešu Afganistānas kara veterānu dzīvesstāsti: mutvārdu vēstures interviju un atmiņu analīze

Abstract

Bakalaura darba „Latviešu Afganistānas kara veterānu dzīvesstāsti: mutvārdu vēstures interviju un atmiņu analīze” mērķis ir pētīt Afganistānas kara veterānu atmiņu mutvārdu vēstures liecībās un komunikācijā par karā piedzīvoto un tā ietekmi uz turpmāko dzīvi. Izmantojot daļēji strukturētas intervijas, tika iegūtas mutvārdu vēstures liecības par piecu latviešu kararvīru pieredzi Afganistānas karā. Tāpat tika veikts novērojums. Lai analizētu iegūto informāciju, bakalaura darbā izmantota kvalitatīvā kontentanalīze. Darbā teorētisko pamatu veido kolektīvās atmiņas un kultūras traumas teorijas. Veicot pētījumu, tika secināts, ka Afganistānas karu veterāni atminas kā iespēju iekļauties sava laika sabiedrībā, iemantot cienīta un godāta cilvēka statusu. Konstatēts, ka visi guvuši kara traumu, kura veterānus iespaido arī mūsdienās.

The objective of the bachelor's thesis "Life stories of Latvian veterans of the Afghanistan war. Analysis of oral history interviews and memories" is to study the war experience and how it influenced postwar lives of Latvian veterans of the Afghanistan war using history interviews and recollections. Oral history testimonies of five Latvian war veterans to the experienced during war of the Afghanistan were obtained by means of partly structured interviews. In addition observations were carried out. Content quality analysis was performed to analyse acquired information. Theoretical part of the bachelor’s thesis is based on the theories of collective memory and cultural trauma. During development of the thesis it was concluded that Afghanistan war was remembered as a chance to fit in with the contemporary society and to achieve the status of an honoured and respected person. It was also established that all veterans have suffered from the trauma of war which still has an effect on their lives nowadays.
