Vardarbības un mentālo problēmu atainojums Stenlija Kubrika filmās

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Vardarbības un mentālo problēmu atainojums Stenlija Kubrika filmās.” Tika izvirzīts pētnieciskais jautājums, lai noskaidrotu, ar kādu nolūku Stenlijs Kubriks savās filmās izmanto tik daudz vardarbīga satura ainu. Darba mērķis ir izprast kā vardarbība un mentālās problēmas tiek reprezentētas Stenlija Kubrika filmās “Mehāniskais apelsīns”, “Mirdzums”, “Pilns bruņojums”, novērojot attēloto vardarbības problemātiku un cēloņus, tās radīto ietekmi uz upuriem. Metodoloģija aptver semiotisko analīzi, kvalitatīvo un kvantitatīvo kontentanalīzi. Darba teorētisko daļu veido literatūra par Stenlija Kubrika filmu pamatprincipiem, semiotikas teoriju, semiotiku filmās un vardarbību kino. Pētījuma rezultāti apliecina, ka režisors savās filmās izmantojis daudz vardarbīgu kadru, lai parādītu cilvēka negatīvo dabu un zemapziņas nostūros mītošo ļaunumu. Secināts, ka visvairāk ainu ar fizisku vardarbību parādās filmā “Mehāniskais apelsīns”, taču mentālo problēmu dominance novērota filmā “Mirdzums”, toties filmā “Pilns bruņojums” novērots visvairāk ainu ar emocionālas vardarbības izpausmēm. The topic of this bachelor’s thesis is “The depiction of violence and mental problems in the films of Stanley Kubrick”. A research matter was put forward to determine the purpose of Stanley Kubrick’s work being of so many violence abundant content. The aim of this thesis is to provide understanding on how the violence and mental issues are represented in the films “A Clockwork Orange”, “The Shining” and “Full Metal Jacket” directed by Stanley Kubrick by observing the problematic and causes of the violence as well as its influence on the victims. The metodology in his work resolves itself around semiotic analysis, qualitative and quantitative contentanalysis. The theoretical part of this thesis is based on the literature of Stanley Kubrick’s film key principles, semiotic theory, the semiotic in his films and violence in the theater. The results of the research assure that director has used a lot of violence filled scenes to reveal negatory nature and subconscious maleficence of the human essence. It is concluded that the most amount of scenes involving physical violence ar shown in the film “A Clockwork Orange”, whereas the dominance of mental issues is displayed in the film “The Shining”, and lastly the film “Full Metal Jacket” is most filled with emoticonal violence.
