Dena Brauna romānu ekranizācijas semiotiskā analīze un mītiskais aspekts

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Dena Brauna romānu ekranizācijas semiotiskā analīze un mītiskais aspekts”. Pētījuma mērķis ir saprast, kuri vēsturiskie personāži tiek mitoloģizēti un kuri vēsturiskie fakti Dena Brauna filmās ir fiktīvi, savukārt kuri ir patiesība, lai vieksmīgi to noskaidrotu, autore pielieto semiotikas un naratīva analīzi un atbilstošu teoriju. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no teorētiskās, metodoloģiskās un empīriskās daļas. Teorētiskā daļa balstās uz mītu definīciju, reliģiju, populāro kultūru, kino semiotiku, kā arī semiotiku kā zīmju pētniecību. Darba metodoloģijas daļā tiek aprakstīta semiotiskā analīze, kura ietver sevī ikonoloģijas analīzi un naratīva pētījumu. Empīrijas daļā tiek aprakstīta režisora biogrāfija, tiek aprakstīta katra filma, proti, “Da Vinči kods”, “ Inferno”, “ Enģeļi un Dēmoni”, kā arī veikts semiotikas pētījums, kas ietver sevī ikonoloģiju, un kā otrs pētījums tiek veikta naratīva analīze. The topic of the bachelor’s thesis is “Semiotic analysis and mythical aspect in screenings of Dan Brown’s novels” The objective of the research is to understand, which historical characters in the movies of Dan Brown are mythologised and which historical facts are fictitious. To successfully understand this the author uses semiotic analysis and a narative analysis. The thesis consists of theoretical, methodological and empirical parts. The theoretical part is based on the definition of myth, religion, popular culture, semiotics of cinema as well as semiotics as the study of signs. Within the methodological part the semiotic analysis is described, which contains iconological and narrative analysis. The empirical part describes the director’s biography; each movie is described, i.e., “The Da Vinci Code”, “Inferno”, “Angels and Demons”; in addition, a semiotic research of these movies is done, involving iconology, and the second research method is the narrative analysis. In the conclusion the summary is drawn and the list of literature is added. In total the thesis consists of 61 page. Key words: cinema, semiotics, Dan Brown, myth, history, popular culture.
