Rīgas iedzīvotāju viedoklis par toleranci pret LGBT

Abstract

Darba nosaukums ir “Rīgas iedzīvotāju viedoklis par toleranci pret LGBT”. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot Rīgas iedzīvotāju viedokli par toleranci pret LGBT. Darbā tika izvirzītas divas hipotēzes: 1) Rīgas iedzīvotāji, kuriem ir augstāks zināšanu līmenis par LGBT, ir tolerantāki pret kopienu; 2) Rīgas iedzīvotāji, kuru paziņu lokā ir vairāk LGBT personas, ir tolerantāki. Rīgas iedzīvotāju viedoklis par toleranci pret LGBT tika analizēts, izmantojot interneta aptaujā iegūtos datus (n = 243). Empīriskajā analīzē tika izmantotas tolerances socioloģiskās izpratnes teoriju atziņas. Apkopojot darbā iegūtos rezultātus, autore secina, ka starp Rīgas iedzīvotāju zināšanu līmeni par kopienu un toleranci pret LGBT pastāv vāja korelācija. Starp Rīgas iedzīvotāju toleranci pret LGBT un pazīstamo LGBT personu skaitu pastāv saistība.

The title of the bachelor thesis is „Riga residents opinion on tolerance towards LGBT”. The thesis is aimed to clarify the opinion of Riga residents on tolerance towards LGBT. Author of this bachelor work raised two hypotheses: 1) Riga residents who have a higher level of knowledge about LGBT, are more tolerant towards community; 2) Riga residents with more LGBT people in the circle of acquaintances, are more tolerant towards LGBT. Riga residents views on tolerance towards LGBT were analysed using data from internet survey (n = 243). The empirical analysis contained theoretical knowledge of tolerance sociological understanding theories. Summarizing the results obtained in this work, author concludes that there is a weak correlation between Riga residents knowledge level about LGBT and tolerance towards LGBT. Between Riga residents tolerance towards LGBT and the number of known LGBT individuals, there is a commitment.
