Mēmi kā reģionālo identitāti veidojošs elements: Facebook lapu "Siguldas Memes" un "Alūksniešu memes" diskursa analīze

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Mēmi kā reģionālo identitāti veidojošs elements: Facebook lapu “Siguldas Memes” un “Alūksniešu memes” diskursa analīze”. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā caur mēmiem un to diskursu tiek konstruēta reģionālā identitāte un kā to uztver paši iedzīvotāji. Teorētiskajā daļā aplūkota sociālās identitātes teorija, kas atklāj sociālo grupu un reģionālās identitātes dabu, diskursa teorija, kas skaidro identitātes veidošanos, kā arī mēmu teorētiskie koncepti. Pētījumā izmantotas kontentanalīzes, multimodālās kritiskās diskursa analīzes, kā arī fokusa grupas intervijas metodes. Pētījumā noskaidrots, ka digitālajās kopienās parādās diskurss, kas liecina par piederību reģionam un tam ir gan līdzības, gan atšķirības ar fiziskās vides diskursu.

The theme of the bachelor thesis is “Memes as a part of regional identity construction: discourse analysis of “Siguldas Memes” and “Alūksniešu memes” Facebook pages”. The aim of the research is to determine how the regional identity is made through the discourse of memes and how it is perceived by the locals. The theoretical basis of the research is formed by the social identity theory to unfold the nature of social groups and the regional identity, the discourse theory to explain the construction of the identity and the theoretical concepts of memes. The research methods used in the study are content analysis, multimodal critical discourse analysis and focus group interview. The study shows that there is a specific discourse in digital communities, which indicates regional affiliation and has both similarities and differences to a regional identity discourse in the physical world.
