Abstract

Uzņēmumu attīstībai vienmēr tiks meklēts papildus finansējums, kuru nāksies aizņemties. Laikam ejot, tiek izgudroti arvien jauni veidi, kā to paveikt. Salīdzinot sākotnējo publisko piedāvājumu (SPP) ar sākotnējo monētu piedāvājumu (SMP), tiek izpētīti divi no uzņēmuma finansēšanas veidiem, kuriem ir daudz kā kopīga un tikpat daudz kā atšķirīga. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir parādīt SPP un SMP būtību, identificējot priekšrocības un trūkumus, esošos regulējumus šajā jomā. Darba pamatuzdevumi ir izpētīt SPP un SMP teorētisko pusi un regulējumus, noteikt ieguvumus, trūkumus un riskus. Analizēt pieejamo statistiku par SPP un SMP, kā arī izpētīt to jaunākos gadījumus Latvijā un pasaulē. Noslēgumā, izdarot secinājumus, var nospriest, ka SMP ir pārāk nedroši un šis jaunieviesums ne vienmēr sniedz vēlamo rezultātu ilgtermiņā.

When a company wants to grow, it must acquire additional financing, which it will have to borrow. As time goes by, new opportunities arise, which aide the company financing. By comparing initial public offerings (IPO) and initial coin offerings (ICO) two such financing opportunities are researched. Aim of this research is to show the essence of ICOs and IPOs, by identifying their advantages and disadvantages, the current applicable regulations. Job tasks are to explore the regulatory and theoretical side of IPOs and ICOs, to determine the benefits, the disadvantages and risks. To analyze the available statistical data of IPOs and ICOs. To research the latest cases of IPO and ICO in Latvia and globally. Finally, while making conclusions, it is clear that ICOs are too risky and this novelty does not guarantee the desired result in the long run.
