The Bachelor thesis Institutions right to request an advocate to report his client and its influence on the confidentiality of an advocate is developed to examine how the confidentiality of a lawyer is regulated in national normative acts and as well as international normative acts and whether a derogation from the principle of confidentiality does not affect mutual cooperation and confidence between the parties. The work explores the prerequisites for the emergence of an adovate and client which, in turn, constitute a basis for the advocate's obligation to protect the information disclosed by the client. The issues of confidentiality limitation are also analysed in order to determine what impact they have on the provision of quality legal assistance and trusting advocate. There are cases analysed where institutions have the right to request an advocate information about client on the basis of these confidentiality limitations. In order to achieve the goal, the author is studying the regulation of national laws and, in addition, is also looking at the regulation of the institute of privacy outside the European Union, in order to see what issues and practices of this institute are elsewhere.
