Pirms lasīšanas uzdevumi mācību grāmatu tekstiem vārdu krājuma paplašināšanai angļu valodas stundās tehnikumā

Abstract

Šis diplomdarbs pēta pirms lasīšanas uzdevumu ietekmi uz vārdu krājuma paplašināšanu un lasīšanas izpratni. Tā mērķis ir izstrādāt pirms lasīšanas papildu uzdevumus un izpētīt, kā tie veicina skolēnu sasniegumus vārdu krājuma uzlabošanā. Teorētiskā daļa ir vērsta uz teorijām par ciešu savstarpējo saistību starp lasīšanu un vārdu krājuma pārzināšanu. Empīriskā daļa apraksta gadījumu izpētes rezultātus. Datu vākšanas rīki parādīja priekšrocības, ko sniedz papildu pirms lasīšanas pasākumi studentu grupām, kas bija iesaistītas eksperimentā, salīdzinot ar studentiem, kuri izmantoja tikai mācību grāmatu materiālus. Tiek secināts, ka pirms lasīšanas uzdevumi ir paplašinājuši studentu vārdu krājumu un sekmējuši teksta izpratni.

The present diploma paper explores the effect of pre-reading activities on vocabulary enrichment and reading comprehension. Its purpose is to design pre-reading supplementary stages and study how they promote students’ achievement in vocabulary improvement. The theoretical part focuses on the theories of strong interrelatedness between reading and vocabulary knowledge. The empirical part describes the results of the case study. The data collection tools demonstrated the benefits of supplementary pre-reading activities for the groups of students who were involved in the experiment in comparison with the students who used only course book materials. It is concluded that pre-reading tasks have enlarged the students’ vocabulary and enhanced reading comprehension.
