Morālās identitātes izpētei tika izmantota “Morālās identitātes nozīmības aptauja” (The Self-Importance of Moral Identity Scale, SIMI, Aquino & Reed, 2002).
dc.description.abstract | The aim of this Bachelor thesis was to research the relationship between the personality traits of higher-level managers and their moral identity and assessment of ethical / unethical actions. The research involved 100 higher level managers of small to medium size businesses and managers of larger departments mostly aged 36-45, 59% of whom were women. The vast majority of the respondents were from Riga or other larger city (82%), with a higher or unfinished higher education (93%), and an experience in business of 4 years or more (73%). The following methods were used in the research: for personality traits measurement the survey “Big Five Inventory” was used (Big Five Inventory; Benet-Martinez & John, 1998). The survey in Latvia has been adapted by Ivars Austers (Schmitt, Allik, McCrae, Benet-Martinez, Alcalay, Ault, Austers et al., 2007), and in 2011 it was amended by Perepjolkina and Kalis (Perepjolkina & Kalis, 2011), for the measurement of moral identity The Self-Importance of Moral Identity Scale was used (The Self-Importance of Moral Identity Scale, SIMI, Aquino & Reed, 2002). The survey in Latvia was adapted by Ieva Mālkalniete-Čelika (2014). The third survey is one created by the author depicting ethical / unethical behavior, where the second and third parts include questions used in the TNS survey (Priedola, 2013). The results of the research show statistically significant correlations between personality traits – agreeableness, conscientiousness, and neuroticism – and dimensions of moral identity, whereas assessing ethical / unethical behavior correlations were observed on a tendency level.
