INFORMĀCIJAS UN KOMUNIKĀCIJAS TEHNOLOĢIJU IZMANTOŠANA SVEŠVALODU APGUVĒ STUDENTU MOTIVĀCIJAS PAAUGSTINĀŠANAI

Abstract

Informācijas un komunikācijas tehnoloģiju integrācija ikdienas mācību darbā ir nozīmīgs uzdevums gan skolotājiem, gan skolēniem. Moderno tehnoloģiju izmantošana valodu mācībās veicina studentu iesaistīšanos mācībās, veido interaktīvu mācību vidi, paplašina skolēnu individuālo darbību un piedāvā jaunas iespējas mācībās. Pētījumā analizēts, kā IKT integrācija klasē ietekmē skolēnu aktīvu līdzdalību valodas apguvē un izzināts, kā skolotāji izmanto tehnoloģijas klasē. Izmantotās datu vākšanas metodes bija šādas: studentu un skolēnu aptauja un skolotāju intervija. IKT izmantošanu svešvalodu mācībās skolotāji novērtēja pozitīvi. Skolotājiem bija iespēja izmantot daudzveidīgu un plašu informāciju savās stundās un viņi atzina, ka studenti un skolēni aktīvi iesaistās mācībās. IKT izmantošana dod iespēju veidot interaktīvu un radošu mācību vidi. Tas ir viens no faktoriem, kas ietekmē studentu motivāciju un tādējādi paaugstina viņu līdzdalību valodas apguvē.

The integration of Information Communication Technologies on an every day basis in education is the important challenge for both teachers and learners. The use of modern technologies in language education stimulates the students’ engagement in the process of learning, creates an interactive learning environment, expands learners’ individual activity and offers new opportunities in both learning and teaching processes. The paper examines how the integration of ICT in the classroom affects students’ active participation in learning the language, and analyses how the teachers utilise the technology in the class. The methods of data collection used were the following: a questionnaire for the students and an interview for the teachers. The use of ICT had positive feedback from the teachers in their teaching practices. The teachers had a great access to a huge amount of information for their lessons, and confirmed the students’ active engagement in the class. The use of ICT has offered the interactive and creative learning environment which was recognised as one of the factors that impacts the students’ motivation, and therefore increased their participation in learning the language.
