The theme of the thesis is ”Shadow economy, assessment methods and assessment in Baltic countries”. The aim of the thesis is to create a MIMIC model for expressing the shadow economy in the Baltic States. The work consists of four parts which describe the definition of the shadow economy, its causes and consequences, discusse the methods of shadow economy assessment, compare the shadow economy assessments in the Baltic States and reflect on the creation of the MIMIC model for the Baltic States, discusse methods for preventing the shadow economy. The volume of work is 56 pages, it contains 7 pictures and 9 tables, 4 appendices are added. 38 sources are used.
