Latvijas kokapstrādes nozares iesaistīšanās globālo vērtību ķēdēs

Abstract

Globālo vērtību ķēžu veicinošo darījumu un uzņēmumu, pētniecības un citu saistīto institūciju sadarbības formu attīstības stimulēšana starpvalstu līmenī ir viens no starptautiskās ekonomikas praksē atzītiem veidiem, kā stiprināt valstu un uzņēmumu globālo konkurētspēju, un veicināt inovatīvu produktu ar augstu pievienoto vērtību un darbības veidu attīstību. Starptautiskiem vērtību ķēžu darījumiem pasaulē tiek piešķirta arvien lielāka vērtība, īpaši veicinot starpvalstu sadarbību augsto tehnoloģiju nozarēs. Maģistra darba mērķis ir noskaidrot Latvijas kokapstrādes nozares attīstības tendences un starptautisko vērtību ķēžu lomu valsts konkurētspējas veicināšanā, un, pamatojoties uz starptautisko organizāciju apkopotajiem tirdzniecības datiem, sniegt alternatīvu iespēju uzņēmumu starptautisko darījumu vērtību ķēdēs potenciāla un valsts konkurētspējas palielināšanai. Pētījuma rezultāti liecina, ka Latvijas kokapstrādes nozarei ir raksturīgs salīdzinoši ierobežots potenciāls iegūt nozīmīgu progresu no iesaistīšanās globālo vērtību ķēžu darījumos tāpēc, kakokapstrādes nozare nav zināšanu ietilpīga, bet gan darbietilpīga nozare, kurai ir grūti radīt augstu pievienoto vērtību. Taču Latvijas kokapstrādes uzņēmumiem arvien ir potenciāls eksporta iespēju paplašināšanai, produktivitātes paaugstināšanai un tālākapstrādes produktu eksporta apjoma palielināšanai, ko iesaistīšanās globālo vērtību ķēdēs arī stimulē. Līdz ar to uzņēmumu globālo vērtību ķēžu darījumu veidošanai un to atbalstam ir jākļūst par vienu no attīstības prioritātēm atsevišķām Latvijas kokapstrādes nozares nišām. Stimulating the development of the global value chainsdeals and forms of cooperation between companies, research and other related institutions is one of the ways recognized by international economic practice to strengthen the global competitiveness of countries and enterprises, and to promote the development of innovative products with high added values and activities. International value chain deals are increasingly being valued worldwide, particularly in promoting transnational cooperation in high-tech industries. The aim of the Master's thesis is to find out the development tendencies of the Latvian woodworking industry and the role of global value chains in promoting the competitiveness of the country and, on the basis of the trade data compiled by international organizations, to provide an alternative opportunity to increase the potential and competitiveness of business in global value chains. The results of the research show that the Latvian woodworking industry has a relatively limited potential to make significant progress in engaging in global value chain transactions because the woodworking industry is not a knowledge-intensive industry, but a labor-intensive industry that is difficult to generate high added value. However, Latvian woodworking companies still have the potential to expand export opportunities, increase productivity and the volume of further processing products, which is also stimulated by engagement in global value chains. Therefore, the creation and support of global value chain transactions of companies should become one of the development priorities for certain niches in the Latvian woodworking industry.
