Maģistra darba autores Ilvijas Apines pētījumā „Ģimenes līdzdalība skaņas R izrunas traucējumu korekcijas procesā 5-6 gadus veciem bērniem” tiek aktualizēta viena no logopēdijas problēmām – nepietiekama ģimenes aktivitāte bērna runas un valodas uzlabošanā. The study of the Master's Thesis by Ilvija Apine „Family participation in the intervention of sound R articulation disorders in 5 to 6 year old children” draws attention to one of the problems of speech and language therapy – insufficient family activity in the child's speech and language improvement. The number of children with speech and language disorders is increasing. Speech therapist work with a child for a limited period, but family constantly spends time with children and is the main support for speech and language development. The purpose of this Master’s Thesis is to study the family participation in the intervention of sound R articulation disorders and evaluate the dynamics of the results of this intervention. The results of the study suggest that, overall, with appropriate correction methods, taking into account the peculiarities of the child’s age and with the involvement of the family, sound articulation improvements are more sustainable. The study shows that the main difficulties with the participation of the family are parental lack of time as well as the child's lack of attention and fatigue after a long day at kindergarten. In the course of the study practical suggestions for parents to strengthen the sound R articulation as well as recommendations for improving cooperation between the speech therapist and family are designed. Keywords: sound R articulation disorders, family participation, cooperation, 5 to 6 year old children.
