The theme of the diploma paper is “The development and application of multiple-choice test in computer science lessons”. The work contains summarized information about the methodology of a multiple-choice test, typical development design errors and steps taken to analyze the test and test questions in depth. As a result of the work, the author supplemented the existing checkpoints with new ones, that should be avoided by multiple-choice test developers. The research question of the diploma paper: How to develop a knowledge assessment test with multiple-choice items and evaluate its quality? The goal of the diploma paper is to summarize the basic rules of multiple-choice test development, create a test, apply it in computer science lessons and evaluate the quality of the test. The work contains two parts: • Theoretical part – summarizing information on testing in pedagogical process, evaluation of test results, advantages and disadvantages of a test and basic rules for the development of multiple-choice test. • Practical part of the research – gathering information on the most popular test analysis software, the analysis of the test and test items, suggestions concerning the improvement of the test quality and a list of checkpoints made to avoid in the process of developing a test. The diploma paper consists of 46 pages, including 25 tables and 1 image. The size of the attachment is 14 pages.
