Glaciotektoniskās struktūras karjerā “Grantskalni-Sprinčupe”

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs “Glaciotektoniskās struktūras karjerā “Grantskalni-Sprinčupe”” ir veltīts glaciotektonisko struktūru, galvenokārt, kroku pētīšanai Rietumkursas augstienes Kurmāles paugurainē. Papildus tam ir dokumentēti arī karjerā novērotie lūzumi un vairākās vietās veikti oļu garenasu mērījumi. Pētījuma izstrādes gaitā ir veikta glaciotektonisko struktūru izpēte, kurā ietilpst atsegumu attīrīšana, to foto dokumentācija, galveno elementu uzmērīšana un datu apstrāde. Pētījuma noslēgumā veikta iegūto rezultātu interpretācija un izteikti secinājumi par iespējamajiem kroku veidojošajiem spriegumu virzieniem un Usmas ledus loba ietekmi uz glaciotektonisko struktūru veidošanos.

Bachelor’s thesis “Glaciotectonic structures in the “Grantskalni-Sprinčupe” quarry” deals with the study of glaciotectonic structures, mainly folds, in Rietumkursa highland, Kurmāle hummocky area. In addition, all observed faults were documented and measurements of longitudinal axis of pebbles in till were made at various locations in the quarry. In the course of the research, the study of glaciotectonic structures has been carried out, which include removing scree from the outcrop, photographic documentation of the outcrop, measurements of the main structure elements and processing all of the obtained data. At the end of the research the results were interpreted, and conclusions were drawn about the potential direction of the fold creating strains and the impact that Usma ice lobe had on the creation of these glaciotectonic structures.
