With the arrival of the fact of the death of a natural person, it often leaves behind it the movable and immovable things acquired during the lifetime, as well as the unused rights, the liabilities which are legally termed inheritance. The work also analyzes Estonias legal regulation of inheritance and the regulation of the escheat. As a result of the research, the author explores the issues related to the legal framework of the escheat legislation and makes suggestions and formulates proposals to identified issues.
