The theme of the Bachelor thesis – „The risk of aggression and its prevention techniques in the care of schizophrenic patients”. The topicality of the theme lies in the fact that patients with schizophrenia have the highest proportion of hospitalizations in the overall structure and a high risk of aggression has been observed. Managing violence is the most important measure for dealing with potentially violent patients. The aim of the Bachelor thesis: to identify the risk of aggression and how to prevent it in the care of schizophrenic patients. The tasks of the research are to analyze literature on schizophrenic patient care, aggression, its risks and their prevention; to create a research tool; to conduct questionnaires; to process research results; to draw conclusions. Hypothesis: Positive symptoms are a risk factor for aggressive behavior to a greater extent than negative symptoms, forced restraint techniques are more effective in preventing aggression than cognitive influencing methods. Quantitative non-experimental cross-sectional comparative study. Research tool – questionnaire. The bachelor's thesis hypothesis has not been confirmed– A large proportion of respondents consider the pharmacological effects to be effective in preventing aggression(58%), but the majority (83%) consider team work to be most effective. 72% of respondents indicated that different approaches are used to manage patient aggression and violence.
