Abstract

Maģistra darbs “Sociālā kapitāla ietekme caur nevalstisko organizāciju prizmu uz vēlētāju uzvedību: NVO skaita un dalības vēlēšanās analīze laika periodā no 2009.-2018. gadam Latvijā” aplūko sociālā kapitāla teorētisko un praktisko koncepta savienojamību ar tā ietekmi uz vēlētāju aktivitāti. Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot vai un kā sociālais kapitāls ietekmē vēlētāju uzvedību. Darba sākumā izvirzītā hipotēze par to, ka: “Pastāv pozitīva korelācija starp lielāku NVO skaitu pašvaldībās un dalību visu līmeņu vēlēšanās (pašvaldību, parlamenta un EP vēlēšanās)” darba praktiskajā daļā neapstiprinās, jo nepastāv ne pozitīva, ne negatīva korelācija starp izvēlētajiem mainīgajiem, kas darbā raksturo sociālo kapitālu un vēlētāju aktivitāti pēc Pīrsona korelācijas izmantošanas SPSS analīzē. Darba teorētiskajā daļā ir aplūkoti sociālā kapitāla, tīklu teorijas, vēlētāju aktivitāti ietekmējošie faktori, gūstot padziļinātu priekšstatu par to, kā šīs idejas var palīdzēt labāk izprast sociālo kapitālu vēlētāju uzvedības kontekstā.

Master's Thesis “Influence of social capital on voters' behaviour through the view of non-governmental organizations: analysis of the amount of NGO's on voters participation during 2009.-2018. in Latvia” looks at the compatibility of the theoretical and practical concept of social capital with its impact on voter activity. The aim of the study is to find out if and how social capital affects voter behavior. The hypothesis put forward at the beginning of the thesis is that: “There is a positive correlation between a larger number of NGOs in local government and participation in elections at all levels (municipal, parliamentary and EP elections) has no approval in the practical part of the work, because there is no positive or negative correlation between the chosen variables. The work describes social capital and voter activity after using Pearson's correlation in SPSS analysis. The theoretical part of the thesis discusses social capital, network theories, factors influencing voter activity, gaining an in-depth understanding of how these ideas can help to better understand social capital in the context of voter behavior.
