Latvijas Universitātes Rīgas Medicīnas koledžas studentu bibliotēkas pakalpojumu izmantošanas tendences

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs “Latvijas Universitātes Rīgas Medicīnas koledžas studentu bibliotēkas pakalpojumu izmantošanas tendences” izstrādāts ar mērķi noskaidrot, kurus no Latvijas Universitātes Rīgas Medicīnas koledžas bibliotēkas piedāvātajiem pakalpojumiem studenti izmanto visbiežāk. Pētījuma teorētisko bāzi veido Tefko Sarecēviča (Tefko Saracevic) un Paula B. Kantora (Paul B. Kantor) Informācijas un informācijas pakalpojumu lietojumvērtības teorija (Theory of use-oriented value of information and information services) un pragmatisms. Lai sasniegtu izvirzīto mērķi, tika analizēta teorētiskā bāze un iepriekš veiktie pētījumi, tika veikta novērošana Latvijas Universitātes Rīgas Medicīnas koledžas bibliotēkā, izstrādātas intervijas ar Latvijas Universitātes Rīgas Medicīnas koledžas četru struktūrvienību pārstāvjiem, apkopoti un analizēti iegūtie rezultāti, izdarīti secinājumi. Pētījuma rezultāti atklāj, ka visbiežāk Latvijas Universitātes Rīgas Medicīnas koledžas studenti izmanto bibliotēkas datorus, atgriež informācijas resursus bibliotēkā un izmanto iespēju izdrukāt. Izglītības iestādes bibliotēkai ir nozīmīga loma mācību procesa nodrošināšanā, un bibliotēkai ir nepārtraukti jāattīstās, lai spētu nodrošināt lietotājus ar noderīgiem informācijas resursiem un pakalpojumiem.

Bachelor Thesis “University of Latvia Riga Medical College Student Library Service Usage Trends” developed with the aim to find out which of the services offered by the University of Latvia Library of Riga Medical College are most often used by students. The theoretical basis for the study is Tefko Saracevic's and Paul B. Kantor's Theory of use oriented value of information and information services, also theory of Pragmatism. In order to achieve the set goal, the theoretical basis and previous studies were analyzed, observations were made in the library of the Riga Medical College of the University of Latvia, had interviews with representatives of the four structural units of Riga Medical College of the University of Latvia, then author summarized and analyzed the results obtained, conclusions made. The results of the study reveal that most students of the University of Latvia Riga Medical College use library computers, return information resources to the library and use the opportunity to print. The educational library has an important role to play in the learning process, and the library must constantly evolve to provide users with useful information resources and services.
