Japānas resursu diplomātija Tuvajos Austrumos

Abstract

Maģistra darba tēma ir aktuāla, jo Japāna caur tās resursu diplomātiju cenšas sevi nodrošināt ar enerģētikas resursu (naftas) drošību, lai tā spētu vitāli funkcionēt un nepiedzīvotu nevēlamus valstiska līmeņa apdraudējumus. Pētījuma mērķis ir analizēt enerģētikas resursu diplomātijas lietojumu ārpolitikā, izmantojot Japānu kā valsti, kura kopš septiņdesmitajiem gadiem mērķtiecīgi izstrādā šo diplomātijas veidu Tuvo Austrumu reģionā. Tā kā Japāna joprojām ir viena no ekonomiski spēcīgākajām valstīm pasaulē, darba sākumā tiek izvirzīta un vēlāk arī pierādīta hipotēze par to, ka Japānas īstenotā resursu diplomātija enerģētikas jomā Tuvajos Austrumos ir bijusi veiksmīga un ir garantējusi šo resursu drošību.

The subject of Master's thesis is relevant and significant, because Japan, through its implemented energy resource diplomacy, aims to provide itself with the resource security (oil), so that it can fully function and does not experience any unwanted national threats. The research therefore aims to analyze the use of the implemented energy resource diplomacy in foreign policy, while using Japan as a country that has carried out this type of diplomacy in the Middle East since the 70s. As Japan still remains one of the most economically powerful countries in the world, the work begins with a hypothesis, which later is defended, that Japan's energy resource diplomacy in the Middle East has been successful and therefore has guaranteed the energy resource security that it has aimed to achieve.
