This work examines how and whether the platform on wich the programme is published influences its content by taking two idealistic broadcasts – Top Gear and The Grand Tour – as an example. The author of the work believes that the topic chosen is topical because we live at a time when we can observe how the internet changes our daily habits, becoming an increasingly important part of everyday. At the same time, it also changes the media environment by offering a number of new media developments, including television and its products. However, it is not clear whether the opportunities offered by the internet have any consequences for the content of the programmes and, if they have then how or what? The tasks of work are to research the literature of theoretical base: audiovisual, public, commercial and television media themes and production of audiovisual content, and to perform analysis of opisodes from both broadcasts, using content analysis and narrative analysis. The study concluded that the platform for which the programme has originally formed does not play a decisive role in the content produced. There are, of course, some changes, but hey are not considered to be significant.
