Maģistra darba nosaukums ir „Matemātikas skolotāja profesionālā kompetence 8.klases skolēnu globālā pilsoniskuma prasmju sekmēšanai”. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā matemātikas skolotāja profesionālā kompetence sekmē skolēna globālā pilsoniskuma prasmes. Maģistra darba teorētiskajā daļā tiek aprakstīti globālā pilsoniskuma izglītības teorētiskie aspekti, kas ir globālā pilsonība, globālā izglītība, globālā pilsoniskuma prasmes un skolotāja profesionālā kompetence. Maģistra darba praktiskajā daļā globālā pilsoniskuma izglītība tiek integrēta 8.klases matemātikas stundās trīs tēmu ietvaros, lai sekmētu skolēnu globālā pilsoniskuma prasmes. Veicot skolēnu anketu un interviju analīzi, pētījumā tiek secināts, ka, sekmējot skolēnu globālā pilsoniskuma prasmes, mācību procesā integrējot globālā pilsoniskuma izglītību, skolotājs pilnveido arī savu profesionālo kompetenci globālo izaicinājumu kontekstā.
