Rīgas urbānās struktūras izmaiņas un reģenerācijas iespējas: Āgenskalna piemērs

Pēdējos gados Rīgā attīstījies apkaimju aktīvisms. Šajā procesā iesaistījies arī Āgenskalns ar izveidotu apkaimes biedrību, taču apkaime piedzīvojusi arī pilsētas līmenī nozīmīgas pārmaiņas, tādas kā Āgenskalna tirgus nonākšanu privātā sektora nomnieku pārvaldībā. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izvērtēt Āgenskalna centra urbānās struktūras izmaiņas un teritorijas potenciālu reģenerācijas pasākumu īstenošanai. Secināts, ka šobrīd nozīmīgākās urbānās struktūras izmaiņas norisinās tirdzniecības sektorā. Teritorijas reģenerācijas potenciāls ir augsts, to īpaši izceļ aktīvā kopiena, kā arī apbūves struktūra. Bakalaura darba noslēgumā tiek izvirzīti konkrēti priekšlikumi Āgenskalna centra reģenerācijai. In the last years, neighbourhood activism has developed in Rīga. The neighbourhood of Āgenskalns has been involved in this process with the establishing of Āgenskalns neighbourhood association, but it has also experienced changes significant at the city level, such as the shift of management of Āgenskalns market in the hands of private sector. The goal of the bachelor's thesis is to evaluate the changes in urban structure of Āgenskalns centre and its regeneration potential. It was found that the most significant changes in urban structure are currently happening in the retail sector. The regeneration potential of the area is high, maintained by the active community and the structure of the built environment. In conclusion of the bachelor's thesis, a number of proposals for the regeneration of Āgenskalns centre are put forward.
