Bakalaura darba tēma - "Aprūpes komandas darbs internajā aprūpes procesā” saistās ar to, ka veselības aprūpes sistēma pēdējās desmitgadēs visās attīstītajās valstīs pārdzīvo būtiskas izmaiņas pārmaiņas. Tas īpaši skar slimnīcu sektorus, jo strauja medicīnas tehnoloģiju attīstība, kas ļauj ārstēt ātrāk un bieži vien arī bez pacientu hospitalizācijas. Sabiedrībai novecojot un pieaugot iespējām ar uzturošu ambulatoru ārstēšanu panākt cilvēku veselības saglabāšanos agrāk neārstējamu vai tikai slimnīcā ārstējamu slimību gadījumos, nosaka tas, ka pieprasījums pēc gultas vietām slimnīcā palielinās. Stacionāra aprūpes ietvaros pakalpojums tiek sniegts, pacientam atrodoties pastāvīgā veselības aprūpes speciālistu uzraudzībā visu diennakti. Stacionāra aprūpes posmā tiek izmantotas tehniski daudzveidīgas un sarežģītas medicīnas tehnoloģijas.
