Emigrējušo ģimeņu ar bērniem latviskās identitātes uzturēšanas prakses

Abstract

Bakalaura darba nosaukums ir „Emigrējušo ģimeņu ar bērniem latviskās identitātes uzturēšanas prakses”. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā emigrējušās ģimenes veido un attīsta bērnu latvisko identitāti, kā arī to, kā bērni pieņem latvisko identitāti. Pētījuma teorētiskajā ietvarā tika izveidotas nodaļas par migrācijas aktualitāti un tendencēm Latvijā, migrācijas teoriju, etnisko piederību un identitāti, simboliski etnisko piederību, transnacionālismu un attālināto nacionālismu, latvisko identitāti un paaudzes problēmu teoriju. Mērķu sasniegšanai tika veiktas 12 daļēji strukturētas intervijas ar vienu no emigrējušās ģimenes vecākiem. Iegūtie dati tika analizēti, kombinējot teorijā balstītu analīzi un tematisko analīzi. Pētījuma galvenie secinājumi ir, ka latviešu valoda un tās izmantošana ikdienā ir viena no galvenajām latviskās identitātes uzturēšanās praksēm gan vecāku, gan bērnu starpā, kā arī vecāki bērna latvisko identitāti veido ar stāstiem par Latviju un dažādu latviešu svētku svinēšanu ģimenes starpā. Bērna latviskās identitātes pieņemšana ir atkarīga no bērna vecuma, kā arī tās pieņemšanu ietekmē bērna dzimšanas vieta. Atslēgvārdi:

The title of the bachelor’s thesis is “The Practice of Maintaining the Latvian Identity of Emigrant Families with Children”. The aim of the bachelor’s research is to find out how emigranted families make and develops the Latvian identity of their children and also how children accept Latvian idendity. On theoretical part of the research chapters are - topicality and trends of migration in Latvia, migration theory, ethnicity and identity, symbolic ethnicity transnationalism and long distance nationalism, Latvian identity and the problem of generation theory. To achieve the goals, 12 in-depth semi structured interviews were conducted with one of the parents of the emigrant family. The obtained data were analyzed by combining thematic analysis and theory-based analysis. The main conclusions of the study are that the Latvian language and it’s use in everyday life is one of the main practices of maintaining Latvian identity. Also parents make Latvian identity with children using stories about Latvia and celebrating various Latvian festivals among the family. Acceptance of the child’s Latvian idenitity depends on the child’s age and the place of birth.
