Diskriminācijas un privilēģijas pieredze: mākslās balstīts sadarbības pētījums

Abstract

Maģistra darba “Diskriminācijas un privilēģijas pieredze: mākslās balstīts sadarbības pētījums” mērķis ir izprast un analizēt, kā pētījuma dalībnieki – Latvijas jaunie dzejnieki - subjektīvi izjūt, izprot, pieredz un konstruē diskrimināciju un privilēģiju kā sociālu pieredzi un kā šī pieredze tiek atspoguļota viņu dzejā. Pētījums veikts fenomenoloģijas filozofijas perspektīvā, skatot diskrimināciju un privilēģiju kā sociālus fenomenus, kas pastāv sociālajā realitātē un konstituējas indivīda apziņā. Darbā tuvāk apskatīti dažādi diskriminācijas un privilēģijas konceptuālie skaidrojumi, sociālie un psiholoģiskie aspekti, saistība ar dažādām identitātes kategorijām un izpausmes formas. Tāpat uzmanība pievērsta dzejas un socioloģijas starpdisciplinaritātei. Darbs izstrādāts mākslās balstīta sadarbības pētījuma pieejā, datu ievākšanai izmantojot sadarbības pētījuma poētikas pieeju, savukārt datu analīzei adaptējot fenomenoloģiskās metodes principus. Pētījuma rezultātā tika gūts dziļāks skatījums pētījuma dalībnieku subjektīvajās diskriminācijas un privilēģijas izpratnēs un uzskatos atbilstoši dažādām identitātes kategorijām, atklājot unikālas mikropieredzes, kas reizē ievietojamas arī plašākā sociālā kontekstā. Šo pieredžu atspoguļojums dzejā ļāva paplašināt analīzes robežas, izceļot iepriekš neredzamus fenomenus.

The research goal of Master's thesis “Experience of Discrimination and Privilege: Arts-based Participatory Research” is to understand and analyze how the research participants - young Latvian poets - subjectively perceive, understand, experience and construct discrimination and privilege as a social experience and how this experience is reflected in their poetry. The study has been carried out from the perspective of phenomenological philosophy, looking at discrimination and privilege as a social phenomena that exists in social reality and is constituted in the consciousness of an individual. The paper discusses different conceptual explanations of discrimination and privilege, their social and psychological aspects, relation to different identity categories and forms of expression. Importance of the interdisciplinarity of poetry and sociology is also stressed. The research has been developed in an arts-based participatory research approach, employing collaborative poetics approach to data collection, while adapting the principles of phenomenological method for data analysis. The study provided a deeper insight into the subjective perceptions of discrimination and privilege and the views of the participants to different categories of identity, revealing unique micro-experiences, which are also placed in a broader social context. The reflection of these experiences in poetry allowed to broaden the boundaries of analysis, highlighting previously invisible phenomena.
