Bērnu radīšanas atlikšana un to ietekmējošie faktori

Abstract

Maģistra darba “Bērnu radīšanas atlikšana un to ietekmējošie faktori” mērķis ir noskaidrot, kādi faktori ietekmē bērnu radīšanas atlikšanu. Darbs sastāv no sešām daļām – trīs teorētiskajām, pētījuma metodoloģijas un empīriskā pētījuma analīzes nodaļas, kurai seko pētījuma secinājumi. Pētījuma objekts ir Rīgā dzīvojošas sievietes vecumā 25-40 gadiem ar iegūtu augstāko izglītību bez bērniem. Par pētījuma datu ieguves metodi tika izvēlēts veikt daļēji strukturētas intervijas, kuras tika analizētas ar diskursa analīzi. Kopā tika intervētas vienpadsmit sievietes. Diskursa analīzes mērķis bija atbildēt uz šādiem pētnieciskajiem jautājumiem: 1) kāds sievietēm ir bērnu radīšanas nozīmīgums, un, kāpēc viņām radīt bērnus ir svarīgi vai nē; 2) kādas ir bērnu radīšanas vēlmes un nolūki sievietēm; 3) kādi sociālie faktori ietekmē sieviešu izvēli par bērnu radīšanu; 4) kādus priekšnoteikumus sievietes izvirza pirms apsver radīt bērnus; un 5) kāda varētu būt sieviešu uzvedības prognoze pēc plānotās uzvedības teorijas.

The main goal of master’s thesis “Postponement of childbearing and its influencing factors” is to establish what kind of factors influence the decision of postponing childbearing. The thesis consists of six parts – three theoretical chapters, research methodology and empirical evidence analysis, which are followed by the resulting conclusions. The research objects are women, aged 25-40, living in Riga, with higher education and no children. The data was acquired by partially structured interviews, which were then analyzed via discourse analysis. A total of 11 women were interviewed. The objective of the discourse analysis was to provide answers to the following research questions: 1) what is the importance of childbearing, and why is it important or not important to bear children; 2) what are the motives and reasons for childbearing; 3) what social factors influence the choice regarding childbearing; 4) what kind of prerequisites have the women established for childbearing to be considered; 5) what could be the behavioral prognosis for the women in regard to the theory of planned behavior.
