Clil metodika angļu valodas prasmju attīstīšanai un pozitīvas attieksmes pret svešvalodu veidošanai 1.klasē

Abstract

CLIL jeb valodas un satura integrēta apguve Latvijā tiek īstenota lielākoties pamatskolas un vidusskolas līmenī, tomēr autore piedāvā izpētīt šīs pieejas izmantošanas iespējas sākumskolā ar mērķi papildināt un padziļināt skolēnu izpratni par svešvalodu, kā arī radīt pozitīvu attieksmi pret valodu un tās turpmāku mācīšanos. Pētījuma metode ir gadījuma pētījums – autore īstenoja gan CLIL integrētas stundas, gan CLIL “showering” metodi (īsas, bet regulāras aktivitātes angļu valodā, kuras tiek īstenotas skolā katru dienu) Mārupes pamatskolas 1.d klasē. Datu vākšanai tika izmantotas anketas un intervijas, gan ar skolēniem, gan vecākiem, gan Mārupes pamatskolas pedagogiem, kā arī veikts novērojums visa izmēģinājuma laikā. Analizējot datus, kuri iegūti pētījuma sākumā, tā laikā un noslēgumā, autore secina, ka CLIL izmantošana sākumskolā pozitīvi ietekmē skolēnu attieksmi pret svešvalodu. Skolēni ir motivēti valodu mācīties un labprāt uzturas svešvalodīgā vidē. Skolēni atzinīgi vērtē šādu angļu valodas mācīšanos un atzīst, ka labprātāk valodu apgūst ar šādu metodi, nevis tikai angļu valodas stundās.

CLIL or Content and Language Integrated Learning in Latvia is an approach mostly used in secondary education or high school, however, the author offers to explore using this method in primary school with the aim to enrich and deepen the pupils’ understanding of the foreign language, as well as to create a positive attitude towards the English language as a foreign language and motivation for further studies. The method of research is a case study – the author held CLIL integrated lessons, as well as used the CLIL showering method (short, but regular intervals of activities in English which are exercised every day at school) in grade 1d at the Secondary School of Marupe. Data collection methods are questionnaires and interviews with the pupils, as well as their parents and other teachers of the Secondary School of Marupe. The author also conducted an observation during the case study. After analysing the data, the author concludes that using the CLIL method in primary school has a positive influcence on the pupils’ attitude towards the foreign language. The pupils are motivated to learn the language and react well to being in an English speaking environment. Pupils are keen on learning English through this method and acknowledge that this way of learning is favoured to regular English classes.
