Vidusskolēnu uztvertā skolas klimata un depresijas simptomu sakarība

Abstract

Šī bakalaura darba mērķis bija noskaidrot uztvertā skolas klimata un depresijas simptomu sakarības vidusskolēniem vecuma grupā no 16-18 gadiem. Tika analizēta teorētiskā literatūra, jaunāko zinātnisko pētījumu rezultāti un veikts praktisks pētījums. Tika noskaidrots, ka skolas klimats un depresijas veidošanās ir pētīti dažādos pētījumu kontekstos. Tika iegūti apstiprinājumi ka pētnieki ir nonākuši pie secinājumiem, ka skolas klimats var ietekmēt skolēnu garīgo un fizisko veselību. Ir pierādīts, ka skolas klimats ietekmē vidusskolēnu pašnovērtējumu, mazina paškritikas negatīvo ietekmi, un sniedz ieguldījumu garīgajā veselībā. Pētījumā tika izvirzīti divi pētījuma jautājumi: 1.Kāda saistība pastāv starp uztverto skolas klimatu un depresijas simptomiem vidusskolēnu grupā? 2.Vai pastāv atšķirības uztvertajā skolas klimatā un depresijas simptomos zēnu un meiteņu grupās? Izmantotās metodes pētījumā - Beka depresijas aptauja bērniem – (Children’s Depression Inventory, CDI, Kovacs, 1980; Latvijā aptauju adaptēja S.Voitkāne un S.Miezīte, 1994) un Skolas klimata aptauja pamatskolai/vidusskolai (School Climate Survey Suite, La Salle, McIntosh, & Eliason, 2016). Adaptēta Latvijā B. Martinsones vadībā. Pētījumā piedalījās 31 meitenes un 19 zēni. Empīriskās daļas aprēķinu rezultātos ir novērojamas statistiski nozīmīgas korelācijas starp trijām skalām: negatīvs pašvērtējums un raksturs, negatīvs pašvērtējums un fiziskā vide, garastāvoklis un drošība. Kā arī dzimumatšķirībās starp zēniem un meitenēm pastāv viena statistiski nozīmīga korelācija. Iegūtie rezultāti saistās ar iepriekšējo pētījumu rezultātiem.

The aim of this bachelor's thesis was to find out the relationship between high schooler perceived school climate and depression symptoms. For high school students in the age group of 16-18 years. Analyzing the theoretical literature, the results of the latest scientific research and conducting practical research. It was found that school climate and the development of depression have been studied in different research contexts. Confirmations were obtained by researchers conducting extensive research showing that the school climate has a serious impact on students' mental and physical health. The school climate has been shown to influence high school students' self-esteem, reduce the negative effects of self-criticism, and affect a wide range of emotional and mental health outcomes. The study posed a two research questions: What is the relationship between perceived school climate and depression symptoms in the high school group? 2. Are there differences in perceived school climate and depressive symptoms between groups of boys and girls? Methods used in the study - Beck Depression Survey for Children - (Children’s Depression Inventory, CDI, Kovacs, 1980; in Latvia the survey was adapted by S. Voitkāne and S. Miezīte, 1994). And the School Climate Survey for Primary / Secondary School (School Climate Survey Suite, La Salle, McIntosh, & Eliason, 2016). Adapted in Latvia under the direction of B. Martinson. The study involved 31 girls and 19 boys. The results of the empirical part calculations show statistically significant correlations between three scales: negative self-esteem and character, negative self-esteem and physical environment, mood and safety. There is also one statistically significant correlation in the gender differences between boys and girls. However, the results obtained are related to the results of previous studies.
