Tiešsaistes Viktorīnas 6. Klases Skolēnu Gramatikas Zināšanu Pārbaudei Angļu Valodas Stundās

Abstract

Cilvēkam, lai spētu saprast kā runāt, lasīt, rakstīt un lasīt konkrētā svešvalodā, ir noderīgi zināt gramatiku un tās likumus. Diplomdarba autore pieredzēja, ka 6. klases skolēni spēja komunicēt, bet viņiem trūka gramatikas zināšanu. Tā kā pašlaik skolotāji izmanto dažādus interneta rīkus skolēnu zināšanu novērtēšanai, diplomdarba mērķis bija izpētīt, kā tiešsaistes viktorīnas varētu lietot, lai novērtētu 6. klases skolēnu angļu valodas gramatikas zināšanas. Mērķa sasniegšanai autore izmantoja gadījuma metodi. Pētījuma izlasē bija 48 skolēni no trim 6. klašu paralēlklasēm un viena angļu valodas skolotāja kādā no Rīgas sākumskolām. Autore intervēja vienu angļu valodas skolotāju un veidoja pēc stundu piezīmes, lai noskaidrotu, kā izmainījās 6. klašu skolēnu gramatikas zināšanas, lietojot tiešsaistes viktorīnas. Papildus autore izmantoja SVID analīzi, lai izvērtētu quizizz.com efektivitāti skolēnu gramatikas zināšanu testēšanai. Tika noskaidrots, ka, izmantojot tiešsaistes viktorīnas, skolotāja spēja novērtēt skolēnu gramatikas zināšanas un saņēma nepieciešamos rezultātus, lai sasniegtu 6. klases skolēniem izvirzīto mērķi. Turklāt tiešsaistes viktorīnas palīdzēja skolēniem kļūt patstāvīgākiem un atvērtākiem pret tehnoloģiju integrēšanu mācību stundās.

For a person to be able to understand how to speak, read, write and listen in a specific foreign language, it is useful to know grammar and its rules. Although the author of the Diploma Paper experienced that Grade 6 students could communicate, they lacked grammar skills. As nowadays teachers prefer using different online tools for testing students’ knowledge, the aim of this Paper was to explore online quizzes for testing students’ grammar knowledge in English lessons in Grade 6. To achieve the aim, the author carried out a case study. The research sample was 48 students from three parallel classes of Grade 6 and one English teacher from one primary school in Riga. In addition, the author interviewed one English teacher and made reflection notes while documenting how changed 6th Grade students' grammar knowledge while using online quizzes. The author also used SWOT analysis to analyze the chosen online quiz website quizizz.com and its effectiveness towards English grammar knowledge testing. It was found out that by using online quizzes the teacher could test students' English grammar knowledge and was able to receive necessary results to achieve the expected learning outcome for Grade 6 students. In addition, online quizzes helped students to become more independent and more flexible towards integrating technology usage into lessons.
