Veselības aprūpes atkritumi un to apsaimniekošana Latvijā

Abstract

Maģistra darbā pētīta veselības aprūpes atkritumu apsaimniekošanas sistēma Latvijā un analizēta statistika un apsaimniekošanas metodes un potenciāls Eiropas Savienības mērķa īstenošanai par poligonos noglabājamā atkritumu daudzuma samazināšanu līdz 10 % 2035.gadā, lai sekmētu ekonomiski vērtīgo atkritumu materiālu reģenerāciju atbilstoši atkritumu apsaimniekošanas hierarhijai. Pētījuma ietvaros veikta akadēmiskās un speciālās literatūras un normatīvo aktu apskats veselības aprūpes atkritumu apsaimniekošanas jomā, apkopota informācija par veselības aprūpes atkritumu saimniecību un statistikas rādītājiem Latvijā, identificējot galvenās veselības atkritumu plūsmas, to sastāvu un lietotās apstrādes metodes un pārstrādes veidus. Veikta iegūtās informācijas analīze un novērtējums par iespējām efektīvai veselības aprūpes atkritumu apsaimniekošanas attīstībai, kas vērsta uz Eiropas Savienības izvirzīto mērķu apsaimniekošanā sasniegšanu par atkritumu daudzuma samazināšanu, reģenerācijas iespējām un poligonos apglabājamo atkritumu daudzuma samazināšanas iespējām.

The master's thesis studies the health care waste management system in Latvia and analyzes statistics and management methods and potential for the implementation of the European Union target of reducing the amount of waste landfilled to 10% in 2035 to promote the recovery of economically valuable waste materials according to the waste management hierarchy. Within the framework of the research, a review of academic and special literature and regulatory enactments in the field of health care waste management was performed, information on health care waste management and statistical indicators in Latvia was collected, identifying the main health waste streams, their composition and used treatment and recycling methods. An analysis and assessment of possibilities for the effective development of health care waste management, aimed at achieving the goals set by the European Union in terms of waste reduction, recovery possibilities and possibilities for reducing the amount of landfilled waste, has been performed.
