Žurnāla “Letonica” bibliometriskā analīze

Abstract

Maģistra darbā “Žurnāla “Letonica” bibliometriskā analīze” analizētas 15091 bibliogrāfiskās norādes, lai noteiktu citētākos autorus un izmantotos informācijas avotus žurnāla “Letonica” zinātniskajos rakstos, tādējādi raksturojot zinātnisko žurnālu “Letonica” un tā pārstāvētās četras nozares: literatūrzinātne, folkloristika, teātra zinātne un mākslas zinātne. Pētījumā par metateoriju izvēlēta hermeneitika, par nozares teorijām izvēloties informācijas horizontu teoriju un bibliometriju. Iegūto bibliogrāfisko datu pētniecībai teoriju kontekstā izvēlēts kvantitatīvi statistisks bibliometrisko metožu kopums, kurš papildināt ar daļēji strukturētām žurnāla “Letonica” galveno redaktoru intervijām. Pētījumā izvirzītas četras hipotēzes: tiek ievērots noteiktais citēšanas stils, žurnāla rakstus ir lasījuši 10% rakstu autoru, arhīva materiālus izmanto pamatā folkloristikā un žurnāla rakstu autori orientējas vairāk nekā trīs valodās. Pētījumā atklājās, ka citētākie autori žurnālā “Letonica” ir Jānis Pliekšāns, Pēteris Šmits un Jānis Jaunsudrabiņš, savukārt citētākie avoti ir laikraksts “Austrums”, “Latgaļu folklora” un latviešu sakāmvārdu datorfonds. Lai gan viens no citētākajiem avotiem ir elektronisks, tomēr 91% gadījumu autori izvēlas drukātos informācijas avotus. Katrai nozarei izdalās savi citētākie autori un avoti, piemēram, folkloristikai – Latviešu folkloras krātuves kolekcijas, literatūrzinātnei – Latvijas Valsts vēstures arhīva materiāli, teātra zinātnei – Jāņa Pliekšāna luga “Jāzeps un viņa brāļi” un mākslas zinātnei – laikraksts “Rota”. 21,93% žurnāla autoru citē paši savus rakstus, savukārt ~25% rakstu autoru neizmanto noteikto citēšanas stilu atbilstoši noteikumiem. 30,32% rakstu autoru lasa citus žurnāla “Letonica” rakstus un tos citē. 67% arhīvu un muzeju materiālus izmanto folkloristikā. Rakstu autori izmanto vairāk nekā desmit valodas informācijas avotu ieguvei, no kurām biežāk izmantotās ir latviešu (63%), angļu (16%), vācu (10%) un krievu valoda (6%).

In master thesis “Bibliometric analysis of “Letonica” journal” 15091 bibliographical references were analyzed in order to identify the most cited authors and sources of information in the scientific articles of the journal “Letonica”, thus describing the scientific journal “Letonica” and four represented disciplines: literary studies, folklore, theater studies and art history. In the study, hermeneutics has been chosen as a metatheory, with information horizon theory and bibliometry chosen as branch theories. For the research of the obtained bibliographic data in the context of theories, a quantitatively statistical set of bibliometric methods has been chosen, which were supplemented with partially structured interviews with the editors-in-chief of the journal “Letonica”. The study puts forward four hypotheses: the prescribed citation style is followed, the journal articles are read by 10% of the authors, the archive materials are used mainly in folklore and the authors of the journal articles know more than three languages. The study revealed that the most cited authors in the journal “Letonica” are Jānis Pliekšāns, Pēteris Šmits and Jānis Jaunsudrabiņš, while the most cited sources are the newspaper "Austrums", "Latgaliešu folklora" and the Latvian proverbial computer fund. Although one of the most cited sources is electronic, in 91% of cases the authors choose printed information sources. Each discipline has its own most cited authors and sources, for example, in folklore – collections of the Archives of Latvian Folklore, in literary studies – materials from the Latvian State Historical Archive, in theater science – Jānis Pliekšāns' play "Jāzeps un viņa brāļi" and in art science – the newspaper "Rota". 21.93% of the authors of the magazine quote their own articles, while ~ 25% of the authors do not use the prescribed citation style in accordance with the rules. 30.32% of authors read other articles in the magazine "Letonica" and cite them. 67% of archive and museum materials are used in folklore. The authors use more than ten languages to obtain information sources, of which the most commonly used are Latvian (63%), English (16%), German (10%) and Russian (6%).
