Jauniešu līdzdalība vēlēšanās un tās motivācijas faktori

Abstract

Bakalaura darba “Jauniešu līdzdalība vēlēšanās un tās motivācijas faktori” mērķis ir noskaidrot, kādi ir motivācijas faktori Latvijas jauniešiem, vecuma posmā no 18 – 25 gadu vecumam, piedalīties vai nepiedalīties visās triju līmeņu vēlēšanās: Eiropas Parlamenta, Saeimas, Pašvaldības vēlēšanās. Pētījuma pamatuzdevumi ir noteikti, kādu motivācijas faktoru dēļ jaunieši izvēlas piedalīties vai nepiedalīties visās triju līmeņu vēlēšanās; noskaidrot, kādi sociāldemogrāfiskie faktori ietekmē jauniešu līdzdalību visās triju līmeņu vēlēšanās. Bakalaura darbā tika noskaidrots, ka jauniešus daļēji piedalīties pašvaldību, Saeimas un Eiropas Parlamenta vēlēšanās motivē apkārtējā sociālā vide un apstākļi. Jauniešus nemotivē piedalīties vēlēšanās uzticēšanās faktors valdībai vai vēlēšanu procesu lietderīgumam, politiskā kompetence, personīgā labuma gūšana no vēlēšanu procesa, kā arī respondenta vēlme justies ietekmīgam.

The aim of the bachelor's thesis “Youth participation in elections and its motivation factors” is to find out what are the motivation factors for Latvian youth, aged 18-25, to participate or not to participate in all three-level elections: European Parliament, Saeima elections and municipal elections. The main tasks of the research are determined by what motivating factors young people choose to participate or not to participate in all three-level elections; to find out what socio-demographic factors influence the participation of young people in all three-level elections. It was found out that young people are partially motivated to participate in municipal, Saeima and European Parliament elections by the surrounding social environment and conditions. Young people are not motivated to participate in elections by a factor of trust in the government or the usefulness of electoral processes, political competence, gaining personal benefit from the electoral process, as well as the respondent's desire to feel influential.
