Meklēšanas iespēju novērtējums Latvijas Universitātes e-resursu repozitorijā

Abstract

Maģistra darba “Meklēšanas iespēju novērtējums Latvijas Universitātes e-resursu repozitorijā” pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot meklēšanas iespēju kvalitāti, novērtējot e-resursu repozitorija veiktspēju un derīgumu, bastoties uz Janis Cakonas (Giannis Tsakonas) un Kristos Papateodoru (Christos Papatheodorou) izstrādāto „Mijiedarbības trīs komponentu modeli" (The Interaction Triptych Model), kurā tiek analizēta veiktspēja - mijiedarbība starp sistēmu un saturu, un derīgums - mijiedarbība starp saturu un lietotāju. Meklēšanas iespēju novērtējums balstās uz teorētisko modeli un iegūtajiem pētījuma rezultātiem, kuri tiek analizēti balstoties uz pragmatisma filozofisko pieeju, kura skaidro teorijas un prakses savstarpējās attiecības un būtību tajā, ka teorija jāapvieno ar praksi. Maģistra darba pētījuma veikšanai tika izmantotas četras metodes – kvalitatīvā kontentanalīze, verbālais protokols, anketēšana un intervija. Darba sākumā izvirzītā hipotēze - Latvijas Universitātes e-resursu repozitorijs piedāvā plašu meklēšanas iespēju klāstu, taču tie nav lietotājiem draudzīgi (ne visas meklēšanas iespējas nodrošina vienkāršu un ērtu nepieciešamā resursa atrašanu) – daļēji apstiprinās, jo e-resursu repozitorijs nodrošina plašu informācijas meklēšanas iespēju klāstu, taču meklēšanas iespēju izmantošana ir atkarīga no lietotājam pieredzes un zināšanām par meklēšanas procesu.

The aim of the Master's “Evaluation of search options of e-resourses repositary of University of Latvia” study is to clarify the quality of search opportunities by observing the performance and validity of the e-resources repository, basking on the “Interaction Three Component Model” developed by Janis Tsakonas and Kristos Papateodors analyzing performance - interaction between system and content, and validity - interaction between content and user. The evaluation of search options is based on the theoretical model and the results of the study, which are analysed on the basis of a philosophical approach of pragmatism, which explains the relationship between theory and practice and the nature of the theory to be combined with practice. Four study methods were used to perform a master's work study: qualitative concessional analysis, verbal protocol, anketting and interviewing. The hypothesis presented at the beginning of the work - the Repository of the University of Latvia offers a wide range of search opportunities, but they are not user friendly (not all search options provide a simple and convenient way to find the required resource) - will be partly confirmed because the e-resource repository provides a wide range of information search capabilities, but the use of search opportunities depends on the user's experience and knowledge of the search process.
