Criminals commit these types of crimes to promote their well-being. With the development of the legal framework and various modern technologies, crimes are also becoming more complex and difficult to detect, and many of them are committed by organized groups, which are often part of a larger international organized crime group. It is therefore essential to set up an effective mechanism for combating proceeds of crime, with the possibility of confiscating proceeds of crime as soon as possible, as their free movement has a significant impact on national economic, reputation, security and crime rates. In addition, confiscating the proceeds of crime from criminals deprives them of the incentive to commit new criminal offenses and deprives them of funds that could be used to organize new criminal offenses in the future. Within the framework of the bachelor's thesis, the author of the dissertation will assess the main issues related to the proof of proceeds of crime, as well as provide her recommendations for the necessary improvements.
