Zāļu vielu aprite Latvijas vidē un tās pārvaldības instrumenti

Abstract

Maģistra darbā tika pētīta zāļu vielu aprite Latvijas vidē, izmantojot projekta “Clear waters from pharmaceuticals” rezultātus un analizējot trīs Latvijas farmācijas uzņēmumu piesārņojošas darbības atļaujas. Tika noskaidroti galvenie procesi, kas veicina zāļu vielu nonākšanu vidē pēc notekūdeņu attīrīšanas iekārtās pavadītā laika, kā arī identificēti trūkumi Latvijā izmantotajās notekūdeņu dūņu apsaimniekošanas metodēs. Farmācijas uzņēmumu izmantoto notekūdeņu apsaimniekošanas paņēmienu analīzē tika atklāts, ka būtiska loma ir notekūdeņu plūsmu atdalīšanai un to īpašību apzināšanai. Tika sniegti ierosinājumi normatīvo instrumentu izmantošanai, lai pārvaldītu riskus, ko rada zāļu vielu nonākšana Latvijas vidē.

The occurrence of pharmaceutical substances in the Latvian environment was explored in this Master thesis by analysing the results of the project “Clear waters from pharmaceuticals” and by reviewing the polluting activity permits of three Latvian pharmaceutical manufacturers. The main mechanisms governing the distribution of pharmaceuticals in the environment even after wastewater treatment were identified. Flaws in commonly used sewage sludge management practices were recognized. By analysing the wastewater treatment practices of pharmaceutical companies it became clear that separate collection of wastewater streams and establishing inventories of their properties is crucial for successful environmental management. The use of legislative instruments relevant to Latvia was suggested for managing the environmental risks of pharmaceuticals.
