The aim of the study is to analyze the Latvian – Polish political relations in 1934 – 1939, focusing on the relations between the two countries in the context of the Baltic Entente and the Eastern Pact, the Lithuanian factor, as well as genesis of the foreign relations during the pre – war crisis. The Latvian – Polish political relations during this period reflect the disagreements in the region, the main problems, the failure on the issue of collective security and the powerlessness of the countries on the eve of the Second World War and its first months.
