Author: Dana Kurmeļova The subject: “Opportunities to promote the control of anger in pre-school children.” The goal: To analyse the possibilities of anger management in pre-school children The purpose of this study is to analyse the possibilities of anger management in pre-school children. In the first chapter of the paper theories by psychologists and educators about the base emotions, anger management and the causation of it in children will be analysed. The second chapter will focus on the emotional and cognitive development in pre-school children. Following this, the third chapter will analyse the impact of nature materials on the development of children, as well as the types of anger management using said nature materials. The fourth chapter will describe a study how it is possible to promote anger management with natural materials as well as an overview of an interview used for teachers and a survey given to the parents of children and teachers. The results of the study partly prove the hypothesis as some of the criteria were met. Anger management in children will be successful if the teacher actively listens and determines the reason for being angry; if the teacher will help to identify anger and explain it; if the teacher enriches the child's experience by working with natural materials; if the teacher will offer natural materials in different parts of the day; if the teacher will provide interesting and diverse activities. Keywords: anger management, anger, development, pre-school, nature materials. This work contains 68 pages, including 38 pictures, 5 tables, 10 annexes and 34 bibliography items.
