Valodas mācīšanās kustībā metode vārdu krājuma attīstībai sākumskolas vecuma bērniem angļu valodas stundās

Abstract

Diplomdarba temats ir “Valodas mācīšanās kustībā metode vārdu krājuma attīstībai sākumskolas vecuma bērniem angļu valodas stundās”. Diplomdarba mērķis ir izpētīt valodas mācīšanās kustības metodes efektivitāti sākumskolas vecuma bērnu vārdu krājuma veicināšanai angļu valodas stundās. Šī tēma tika izvēlēta, balstoties uz Diplomdarba autores iepriekšējo izglītību un zināšanām. Diplomdarba autore nolēma apvienot savas zināšanas par kustību kopā ar zināšanām par mācīšanu. Valodas mācīšanās kustībā metode ir diezgan populāra šobrīd starp angļu valodas skolotājiem. Izmantojot šo metodi, stundu var padarīt interaktīvu, iesaistošo. Tika aplūkota un analizēta literatūra par sākumskolas vecuma bērnu mācīšanās īpatnībām, par metodi un to pielietošanu angļu valodas stundās. Literatūras analīze ir aprakstīta Diplomdarba pirmajā un otrajā daļā. Balstoties uz analizēto literatūru, tika pētīts metodes pielietojums un pētījuma rezultāti ir apkopoti un atspoguļoti Diplomdarba trešajā daļā. Teorētiskajā daļā, analizējot Harmera, G.Svences, L.Vigotska un citu Latvijas un ārzemju zinātnieku rakstus, pētījuma vecuma grupas īpašības tika izpētītas un aprakstītas. Balstoties uz Ašera, Hainesa, Larsena-Frīmana un Linses pētījumiem, izmantotā metode tika izpētīta, analizēta un metodes idejas tika aprakstītas teorētiskās daļas otrajā nodaļā. Empīriskā daļa tika veikta, izmantojot gadījuma izpētes metodi. Dati tika iegūti, izmantojot anketas, novērošanas metodi un novērtējuma metodi. Visi iegūtie dati tika apkopoti, analizēti un atspoguļoti empīriskajā daļa, izmantojot tabulas un diagrammas. Apkopojot analizēto literatūru un pētījuma rezultātus, tika secināts, ka valodas mācīšanās kustībā metode ir efektīva vārdu krājuma veicināšanai sākumskolas vecuma bērniem angļu valodas stundās, jo vārdu krājums tika veicināts, izmantojot šo metodi.

The topic of the Diploma Paper is “Improving vocabulary using Total Physical Response method for primary school children in English lessons”. The aim of the Diploma Paper is to explore the use of the TPR method and analyze its effectiveness in developing the vocabulary of primary school children. This topic was chosen because of the previous education of the author of the present Diploma Paper. The author of the Diploma Paper decided to combine knowledge about the movement together with knowledge in the teaching field. Total Physical Response teaching method is one of the most popular methods nowadays that can make a lesson more interactive, engaging and it is based on language acquisition, not learning. The literature about the primary school children and their learning peculiarities is explored and analyzed in this Diploma Paper. The literature about the TPR method and its appliance during the lessons was explored, analyzed and shown in the Diploma Paper. In the theoretical part based on J. Harmer, G.Svence, L.Vigotsky, and others’ scientific knowledge, the characteristics of the target age group were explored and analyzed. Based on J. Asher, Haynes, Larsen-Freeman and Linse’s researches the TPR and its appliance during the English lessons was explored. Case study as a research method has been chosen for the empirical part. Data were collected using a questionnaire, observation and assessment. All the collected data were summarized, explored, analyzed and shown in the empirical part of the Diploma Paper. Summing up the theoretical part based on scientific research and the case study, is concluded that Total Physical Response is a valuable approach for teaching vocabulary for the primary school learners. This method is quite popular among other teachers and this method is used during the lessons.
