dc.description.abstract | Pupils spend a big portion of their day at school, engaging their minds and learning intensively. Learning mostly takes place while sitting by their desks, this puts pressure on the pupils` muscle groups, and altogether lowers students’ ability to learn effectively. In order to make pupils move and help them restore their learning abilities, dynamic breaks are included in lessons. Dynamic breaks usually consist of physical exercises, but dance elements can also be considered as dynamic break during the lesson, this would help pupils restore their attention skills, develop physical abilities and a sense of rhythm. The aim of the diploma thesis research is to find out how dance elements can be included in dynamic breaks in the 2nd grade learning process. In the development of the work, the theoretical literature on dynamic breaks and the use of dance elements is analysed. In the empirical part, the necessity and possibility to include dynamic breaks with dance elements in the 2nd grade teaching process is clarified. Key words: dance elements, dynamic breaks, primary school, learning process.
