ASV un Vācijas attiecības Donalda Trampa prezidentūras laikā

Abstract

Šajā bakalaura darbā autors ir aplūkojis ASV un Vācijas divpusējās attiecības Donalda Trampa prezidentūras laikā. Konkrētāk, tiek aplūkota valstu ekonomikas un drošības politikas mijiedarbība, tās ietekme uz abu valstu attiecībām, kā arī mijiedarbības iemesli. Abu valstu attiecības tiek apskatītas sākot ar 2. pasaules kara beigām, un beidzot ar Donalda Trampa prezidentūras noslēgumu. Drošības politika tiek aplūkot gan no valstu divpusējo attiecību, gan kopējās NATO alianses perspektīvas. Donalda Trampa prezidentūras periods iezīmēja valsts ārpolitikas izmaiņas, tādēļ šajā darbā tiek aplūkoti izmaiņu iemesli, tāpat arī drošības un ekonomisko interešu mijiedarbība ASV ārpolitikā šajā periodā. Darbā tiek izmantotas teorijas par alianšu veidošanos, ekonomisko un drošības interešu attiecībām aliansēs. Konkrētā literatūra tiek izmantota tādēļ, ka abas valstis ir kopējas NATO alianses biedri. Darba gaitā tika noskaidrots, ka pastāv mijiedarbība starp drošības un ekonomiskajām interesēm abu valstu attiecībās šajā laika periodā.

In this bachelor thesis, the author has looked at United States and Germany’s bilateral relations during the Donald Trump presidency. More specifically, author looks at the interaction between economy and security politics, it’s impact on bilateral relations, and the reasons for this interaction between the two. Author looks at the two state relations starting from the end of 2. world war until the end of Donald Trump presidency. Security politics is being observed from the view of bilateral relations as well as from the alliance perspective. Period of Donald Trump presidency highlighted changes in United States foreign policy, that’s why in this bachelor thesis author looks at the reasons why these changes happened, as well as security and economy interest interaction regarding foreign policy in this period. In this bachelor thesis author uses theories about alliance formation, economy and security interests between security alliance members. This literature is being used because both states are members of the NATO alliance. In this work author gains proof that there exists an interaction between economy and security interests in bilateral relations during this time period.
