Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Terorisma atspoguļojums Eiropas medijos. Latvijas un Maltas gadījums”. 21. gadsimtā terorisms ir kļuvis par vienu no aktuālākajiem draudiem starptautiskajai, kā arī nacionālai drošībai. Mūsdienās ir ļoti reti sastopams vietējā mēroga terorisms, lielākoties terora akti ir globāla problēma un tā apkarošanai nepieciešama visas starptautiskās sadarbības aktieru kopīga darbība. Kopš interneta parādīšanās, cilvēkiem ir iespējams iegūt informāciju par sabiedrībā aktuāliem notikumiem ātri un jebkurā pasaules vietā. Bieži mediju dienaskārtībā nonāk terora aktu jautājums. Pētnieki ir secinājuši, ka masu mediji ir vieni no ietekmīgākajiem politiskās dienaskārtības noteicējiem un veido sabiedrības viedokli terora aktiem, kas tiek aprakstīti ziņu portālos. Terora akti notiek bieži un to attēlojums medijos veido sabiedrības izpratni un nostāju par šādiem vardarbīgiem notikumiem. Terorisma atspoguļojums medijos ir viens no kritērijiem, kas veido politisko dienaskārtību, tādēļ ir svarīgi aplūkot kā mediji veido ziņas par terorismu un kādas sekas tas atstāj uz sabiedrisko domu, politiķu dienaskārtību un drošību Eiropā. Pētījuma Mērķis ir balstoties uz Delfi.lv un Timesofmalta publikācijām par konkrētiem terorisma gadījumiem noskaidrot, cik lielā mērā Latvijas un Maltas interneta mediju portāli pievēršas starptautiskajam terorismam un kādu ietekmi mediju dienaskārtība atstāj uz sabiedrisko domu Eiropā. Lai sasniegtu darba mērķi, autore izvirza šādus uzdevumus: 1. Veidot izpratni par terorismu un terorisma veidiem balstoties uz teorētisko literatūru; 2. Apkopot teorētisko literatūru par mediju dienaskārtības veidošanas teorijām un rāmēšanas teoriju; 3. Analizēt terorisma draudus Latvijā, Eiropā un Maltā; 4. Izpētīt sabiedriskās domas aptaujas Eiropā, Latvijā un Maltā; 5. Novērtēt, kādi ir vadošie rāmējumi par trīs terora aktiem 2020. gadā Maltas un Latvijas mediju ziņu portālos : Delfilv un Timesofmalta; 6. Apkopot iegūto informāciju un izdarīt secinājumus. In the 21st century, terrorism has become one of the most pressing threats to international as well as national security. Today, local terrorism, mostly terrorist acts and the global problem, and the need for all joint action by international actors are very rare. Since the advent of the Internet, people have been able to get information about current events in society quickly and around the world. Often find the topical issue of terrorism on the media agenda. Researchers have concluded that the media are among the most influential political agenda items and acts of public opinion on terrorism described in news portals. Terrorist acts often take place and are portrayed in the media to form public awareness and attitudes towards such violent events. Media coverage of terrorism and one of the criteria that shape the political agenda, it is important for them to look at how the media shape the news of terrorism and its consequences for public opinion, the political agenda and security in Europe. The aim of the study is based on Delfi.lv and Timesofmalta publications on specific cases of terrorism, which determine the extent to which Latvian and Maltese Internet media portals are related to international terrorism and leave one of these media agendas to public opinion in Europe. In order to achieve the goal of the work, the author sets the following tasks: 1. To form an understanding of terrorism and types of terrorism based on the theoretical literature. 2. To summarize the theoretical literature on media agenda formation theories and framing theory. 3. To analyze the threat of terrorism in Latvia, Europe and Malta. 4. To study public opinion polls in Europe, Latvia and Malta; 5. Assess the leading frameworks for the three terrorist acts in 2020. Maltese and Latvian media news portals: Delfilv and Timesofmalta 6.
