Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Valsts prezidents kā līderis. Egila Levita gadījuma analīze Covid-19 pandēmijas laikā Latvijā”. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā līderība un tās iezīmes ietekmē jauniešu viedokli par Valsts prezidentu kā līderi, kā arī noskaidrot līderības jomas ekspertu viedokli par līderības fenomenu un Valsts prezidenta līderības praksi Covid-19 pandēmijas laikā Latvijā. Darbs sastāv no divām daļām – teorētiskās un empīriskās daļas. Bakalaura darba teorētiskajā daļā tiek apskatīts līderības jēdziens un līderībā kā fenomens, kas tiek papildināts ar līderības teorijām, kā arī līderības komunikācija, politiskā komunikācijā un politiskā līderība, publiskā komunikācija jeb masu komunikācija, un auditorijas viedokļa veidošanās teorētiskie aspekti un to sasaiste ar pašu līderības fenomenu. Darba pētījuma daļā tiks izmantota gan kvalitatīvā, gan kvantitatīvā pētīšanas metode. Kā kvalitatīvā pētījuma metode tiks izmantota daļēji strukturētā intervija ar līderības fenomena eksperti Gitu Melderi, lai noskaidrotu līderības aspektus un to sasaisti ar Valsts prezidenta līderības praksi, savukārt kā kvantitatīvā pētījuma metode tiek izmantota aptaujas anketa, kuras mērķauditorija ir jaunieši vecumā no 15 līdz 24 gadiem. Aptaujas mērķis ir noskaidrot jauniešu viedokli par Valsts prezidenta līderības praksi Covid-19 pandēmijas laikā Latvijā. Darba nobeigumā tiek atspoguļoti iegūtie pētījuma dati un veikti secinājumi. The topic of the bachelor's thesis is “The President as a leader. Case study of Egils Levits during the Covid-19 pandemic in Latvia”. The aim of the work is to find out how leadership and its features affect young people's opinion of the President as a leader, as well as to find out the opinion of leadership experts on the phenomenon of leadership and the President's leadership practice during the Covid-19 pandemic in Latvia. The work consists of two parts - theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis deals with the concept of leadership and leadership as a phenomenon, which is supplemented with leadership theories, as well as leadership communication, political communication and political leadership, public communication (mass communication), and the theoretical aspects of audience opinion formation and the connection with leadership phenomenon itself. Both qualitative and quantitative research methods will be used in the research part of the work. A semi-structured interview with leadership phenomenon expert Gita Meldere will be used as a qualitative research method to find out the aspects of leadership and their connection with the President's leadership practice. As a quantitative research method, a survey will be used among young people aged 15 to 24 years. The aim of the survey is to find out the opinion of adolescents about the leadership practice of the President during the Covid-19 pandemic in Latvia. At the end of the work the obtained research data are presented and conclusions are made.
