Sociāli svarīgu tēmu reprezentācija situāciju komēdiju žanra seriālā "Draugi"

Abstract

Bakalaura darba “Sociāli svarīgu tēmu reprezentācija situāciju komēdiju žanra seriālā “Draugi”” mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā ir reprezentētas sociāli svarīgas tēmas situāciju komēdiju žanra seriālā “Draugi” un kā auditorija rezonē ar šo seriālu un tajā iekļautajām tēmām. Lai to paveiktu, tika izmantota naratīva analīze. Tika izmantota arī fokusa grupu diskusija, kur tika apspriestas tās dalībnieku redzējums un sajūtas par šīm tēmām seriālā. Darba teorētiskajā daļā ir apskatīts naratīva jēdziens, pievērsta uzmanība īpaši naratīvam televīzijā, populārā kultūra un reprezentācija, kā arī mediju efekti uz auditoriju. Pētījumā noskaidrots, ka sērijās atspoguļotās tēmas ne vienmēr tiek parādītas ar pozitīvo piemēru un veiksmīgu atrisinājumu. Tika secināts, ka seriāla ietekme uz skatītāju ir pozitīva.

Bachelor’s thesis “Representation of socially important topics in Sitcom “Friends”” aim is to find out how socially imortant topics are represented and how audience is reflecting on these topics in Sitcom “Friends”. To do this, a narrative analysis of the content of the series were used and a focus group discussion where participants discussed how they see and feel these topics. The theoretical part of the thesis discusses the concept of narrative, popular culture, representation and media effects on audience. The study found that represented topics of the series are not always shown with possitive example and successful outcome. It was also concluded that the series has a possitive impact on audience.
