Abstract

Maģistra darba Smēķēšanas rāmējums 20. gadsimta Latvijas presē: longitudināla analīze mērķis ir izpētīt 20. gadsimta Latvijas teritorijā iznākošo drukāto mediju publikācijas saistībā ar smēķēšanas un tabakas patēriņa tēmu, noskaidrojot, kāds smēķēšanas rāmējums ir raksturīgs katrai politiskajai iekārtai un laika periodam. Temats skatīts un rāmējuma analīze veikta smēķēšana kā politiska un ekonomiska procesa perspektīvā. Teorija aplūko preses apskatu viscaur 20. gadsimtam, ikdienišķu procesu un smēķēšanas kā viena no tiem romantizācijas aspektu romantisma paradigmā, mainīgo smēķēšanas regulējumu un situāciju 20. gadsimta Latvijā, kā arī rāmējuma teorijas pamatnostādnes un alternatīvu preses tekstu analīzes teoriju rāmējuma perspektīvā. Kontentanalīzes rezultāti pēc iepriekš definētiem rāmējuma aspektiem liecina, ka 20. gadsimta Latvijas presē noritējušas smēķēšanas rāmējuma izmaiņas – no atbildības rāmējuma dominances gadsimta sākumā uz cilvēku interešu rāmējumu 20. un 21. gadsimta mijā.

The aim of the master's thesis Framing of Smoking in the Latvian Press of 20th Century: A Longitudinal Analysis is to study the print media publications in the 20th century in Latvia related to smoking and tobacco consumption, finding out what smoking frameworks are characteristic of each political system and time period. The topic is viewed and framed analysis is performed on smoking as a political and economic process perspective. The theory looks at the press review throughout the 20th century, everyday processes and aspects of smoking as one of them in the romantic paradigm, changing smoking regulation and situation in 20th century Latvia, as well as frameworks theory guidelines and alternative press text analysis theories in framing perspective. The results of content analysis according to the previously defined aspects of the framework show that the Latvian press in the 20th century has undergone changes in the smoking framework - from the dominance of the responsibility framework at the beginning of the century to the framework of human interests at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries.
