Author of the work: Kristīne Kurcalte Title: Promotion of three-year-old children's self-care skills in games and exercises in a pre-school educational institution. Aim of the research: Theoretically and empirically find out the possibilities of promoting self-service skills in games and exercises for three-year-old children. In the theoretical part, the author analyzes the findings of pedagogical and psychological scientists on self-service skills, the importance of the environment, the role of adults as promoters of self-service skills and the theoretical findings of various authors on the importance of games and exercises in promoting self-service skills. In the empirical part of the work, children's self-service skills are studied. The study includes pedagogical observation, pedagogical work with children, mathematical data processing and analysis. Criteria, indicators and levels are set, according to which pedagogical observation and data analysis are performed. Within the framework of the research the use of games and exercises in pedagogical work with children are selected to promote self-service skills. Summarizing the results, the hypothesis put forward at the beginning of the work was confirmed: Self-service skills develop successfully if the teacher: •chooses appropriate games and exercises when working with children; •provides an appropriate environment for promoting self-care skills. The work consists of: 48 pages, 11 pictures, 4 tables, 24 sources of literature and information, 5 appendices.
