Author of the bachelor’s thesis: Norgita Sīle Bachelor’s theme: “Promotion of positive emotions in 5-6-year-old children in games” Bachelor's theme: "Promotion of positive emotions in 5-6-year-old children in games" Aim of the research: To analyze the theoretical literature and to practically study the promotion of positive emotions in 5-6-year-old children in games. The first part of the study analyzed scientific articles and other sources of information, as well as philosophers 'and psychologists' findings of positive emotions in various life situations, reflecting personal attitudes, needs that form a person's personality. Evaluating the views of several authors, it can be concluded that emotions are a short-term subjective experience, which reflects personal attitudes, in different life situations, and is related to human needs. (D. Purēna, V. Purēna, E. Koemetss, S. Liepiņa, K. Jungs). The second part of the study describes the empirical research and analyzes the positive emotions of children using and offering various games and activities. I interviewed teachers and children to work out the criteria more precisely. The products of the activity were analyzed and conclusions were drawn. Watching children in action, I also drew my own conclusions when games evoke positive emotions in children if the rules of the game are explained to children and it is appropriate for the appropriate age. The bachelor's thesis consists of an introduction, 2 chapters, and conclusions. 5 tables, 13 figures, 92 references and sources, and 1 appendice were used. The volume of the work is 50 pages. Key words: positive feelings, pre-school, games, development.
