Latgaliskās identitātes konstrukcija filmās "Cilvēka bērns" un "Pilsēta pie upes"

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Latgaliskās identitātes konstrukcija filmās “Cilvēka bērns” un “Pilsēta pie upes””. Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot, kādi kino valodas elementi izmantoti, lai abās filmās attēlotu latgalisko identitāti. Pētījuma uzdevumi ir izpētīt kino valodas elementus, iepazīties ar Jāņa Streiča un Viestura Kairiša motivāciju uzņemt konkrētās filmas, izvirzīt kontentanalīzes kategorijas un, balstoties uz tām, veikt filmu “Cilvēka bērns” un “Pilsēta pie upes” analīzi semiotiski, izanalizēt rezultātus un izdarīt secinājumus. Teorētiskajā daļā aplūkota kino valoda, tās elementi, reprezentācijas un identitātes jēdziens. Kā pētniecības metodes izvēlētas kontentanalīze un semiotiskā analīze. Pēc rezultātu apkopošanas secināts, ka abās filmās latgaliskā identitāte atainota galvenokārt caur reliģiju un valodu.

The theme of the bachelor’s thesis is “Construction of Latgalian Identity in the movies “Cilvēka bērns” and “Pilsēta pie upes””. The aim of the research is to find out what elements of film language are used to depict Latgalian identity in both films. The tasks of the research are to study the elements of film language, to get acquainted with the motivation of Janis Streics and Viesturs Kairiss to make specific films, to nominate content analysis categories and to perform semiotic analysis, analyze the results and make conclusions based on them. The theoretical part deals with the film language, it’s elements, the concept of representation and identity. Content analysis and semiotic analysis have been chosen as research methods. After summarizing the results, it is concluded that in both films Latgalian identity is depicted mainly through religion and language.
