Līderības lomas novērtējums jaunuzņēmumos Latvijā.

Abstract

Lai gan kā populārākie jaunuzņēmumu lielās mirstības iemesli tiek minēti – naudas trūkums, pieprasījuma trūkums, konkurentu aktivitātes, problēmas ar biznesa modeli un citas, tomēr kā būtisks iemesls jaunuzņēmumu neveiksmēs ir jāmin arī līderības un vadības prasmju trūkums jaunuzņēmumu dibinātājiem. Attīstot uzņēmumu dibinātājam ir ļoti liels skaits konfliktējošo prioritāšu, kā rezultātā liela daļa vadības un līderības jautājumu dabiski tiek nolikti otrajā plānā. Jaunuzņēmumu vide ir īpaši mainīga, valda liela nenoteiktība, ir maz līdzekļu, kas jau pieredzējušiem vadītājiem un līderiem ir liels izaicinājums, bet jaunām komandām šādi apstākļi ir īpaši izaicinoši. Maģistra darba mērķis ir pamatojoties uz pētījumā iegūto rezultātu analīzi, identificēt un izstrādāt priekšlikumus piemērotākām līderības pieejām jaunuzņēmumu attīstībai Latvijas apstākļos. Veicot padziļinātas intervijas ar 9 jaunuzņēmumu līderiem Latvijā tika konstatēts, ka jaunuzņēmuma līderi Latvijā veic arī operacionālu darbu un vadības un līderības jautājumi ir tikai daļa no to ikdienas. Tāpat tika secināts, ka lielākie jaunuzņēmumu līderu izaicinājumi ir regulārās un neparedzamās pārmaiņas un finansējuma potenciālais trūkums, ko jaunuzņēmumu līderi Latvijā risina pielietojot caurspīdīgu līdera komunikāciju ar ik vienu komandas locekli. Apzināta līdera komunikācija ir būtisks motivācijas rīks jaunuzņēmumu darbiniekiem, jo īpaši agrīnās jaunuzņēmuma attīstības stadijās. Jaunuzņēmumu līderi Latvijā ir galvenokārt bez vadības un līderības pieredzes un tā tiek attīstīta pašmācības ceļā un izmantojot mentoringu.

There are quite a lot of reasons why start-up companies fail – the lack of money, lack of demand, activities of competitors, wrong business model and the lack of knowledge of management and leadership also is being considered as one of the top reasons. When developing start-up company founders have a lot of conflicting priorities and there is a lack of time to develop leadership skills. At the same time the environment of start-ups is particularly volatile, there is a great deal of uncertainty, and there are lack of resources - both money and time, that are a major challenge for already experienced managers and leaders, but such conditions are particularly challenging for young teams. The purpose of the master's thesis is to identify the most suitable leadership approaches for the development of start-ups in Latvia based on the analysis of the results obtained in the research. In-depth interviews with 9 start-up leaders in Latvia revealed that start-up leaders in Latvia also perform operational work and that management and leadership issues are only part of their daily routine. It was also concluded that the biggest challenges for start-up leaders are regular and unpredictable changes and the potential lack of funding that start-up leaders in Latvia address by using transparent leader communication with each team member. Leader communication is an essential motivational tool for start-up employees, especially in the early stages of start-up development. Leaders of start-ups in Latvia are mainly without management and leadership experience and it is developed through self-study and mentoring.
