Ar ilgtspējīgu attīstību saistīti risinājumi paliek aktuālāki, tā rezultātā arvien populārāki kļūst dabiski produkti. To pieprasījumu iespējams nodrošināt, lietojot augu lipīdus, pievienojot tos saules aizsargkrēmos, tādejādi aizstājot sintētiskās piedevas. Sustainable development-related solutions remain more current, leading to more and more popular natural products. It is possible to ensure their demand by using plant lipids, by adding them to sunscreen creams, thereby replacing synthetic additives. The aim was to explore the lipid composition of plants that are common in Latvia and to compare the advantages of using them in sunscreen creams. Looking at the results of the study, it appears that moss and berry lipids have potential to replace synthetic components in the production of sunscreen creams, while at the same time not reducing the exposure of the protective cream and its SPF value. In GC/MS analyses, certain lipid groups (aromatic carboxylic acids, fatty acids, alcohols, alkanes, sterols, triterpenoids and carbohydrates) have the greatest impact on the SPF value, which allows for the identification of future plants with potential for use in the production of sunscreens.
